Metal roofing
Metal that belongs in Florida
Standing seam and panels that take UV and wind without cooking the attic the way dark asphalt can. Specified, not catalog-dumped.

Why metal here
Tampa Bay UV is brutal on asphalt oils. Metal doesn’t dry out. Light colors reject heat. Panels don’t grow the black streaks that show up on every north slope by year eight.
The job is the underlayment, the clip spacing, the eave, the penetrations — not the brochure photo. We install it as a system.

- Standing seam — hidden fasteners, clean lines, the long-life residential spec.
- Exposed-fastener panels — right on some porches and outbuildings, wrong as a cheap substitute on the main house.
- Not every house — HOA, structure, and noise expectations matter. We’ll say if asphalt or tile is the better call.
Metal FAQ
Is metal roofing a good idea in Florida?+
Yes, when it’s specified for wind and salt. Standing seam and through-fastened panels shed heat, don’t grow algae the way asphalt does, and last decades if the underlayment and flashing are done right.
Is metal noisy in a storm?+
A properly insulated deck is quiet. The attic and underlayment do more for sound than the panel. We spec the stack, not just the metal color.
Can I finance a metal roof?+
Yes. Metal is usually a larger check than asphalt — that’s what the Enhancify 1–12 year terms are for. See the financing page for a payment estimate.
Also asphalt, Spanish / clay tile, and asphalt rejuvenation.
